The useful starting point
A technical term may be necessary when it names a precise concept. The problem is not the presence of detail, but leaving the reader to guess why it matters. A short explanation can connect the term to the task the reader is completing.
A small step to try
Keep the essential term and explain it at first use. Replace vague phrases with concrete actions, and preserve conditions that affect the answer. Read the draft aloud to notice sentences that carry too many separate ideas. Plain language should make the actual meaning easier to follow; it should not turn a qualified statement into a confident claim unsupported by the original information.
