The useful starting point
A technology announcement describes what a supplier presents. A news report may add independent observations, and an opinion article argues for an interpretation. These forms can overlap, but they do not carry the same basis for every claim.
A small step to try
Mark which statements are reported facts, quoted claims and the writer’s analysis. Look for the evidence behind a capability claim before repeating it as established performance. A product announcement can be a useful primary source for what the supplier says; it is not automatically independent validation. Keep the source type visible in your own notes and published explanation.
