Jauhar besieged Panhalgad with a huge army of 35,000 infantry and 20,000 cavalry. Maharaj was trapped on the fort. It was a rainy day. It was dangerous for the Maharaja to stay at Panhala fort for long. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj did a trick to get out of the siege. However, as soon as he realized that it was Shiva Kashid and not Shivrai, Siddi Johar pushed Samsher in Shiva Kashid’s chest. Shiva Kashid made such an incomparable sacrifice for Swarajya. Siddhi asked him if he was not afraid of death. The answer came. Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje is ready to die a thousand times. Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje will not be found by anyone. On hearing this, Siddi angrily ordered Shiva to behead Kashid.
