The Story of a Mysterious Chest

It was 7:30 in the morning. Subhash and his family were leaving their rented house and shifting to their own purchased house.

Everyone was very happy about this house of theirs. And why not be happy? After all, Subhash had collected some money after a lot of hard work, and finally he bought a house. This house was very cheap for him, which is in a very expensive area of Mumbai.

After all, what was the reason that this house was so cheap for him? Till then, let us talk further. Subhash had entered his new house. Before keeping the things in the house, he wanted to clean the house because that house had been closed for the last 12 years.

He called some cleaning people from outside and got the house cleaned. After some time, a worker calls Subhash and calls him into a room. That room was completely filled with dust and spider webs. The person working showed Subhash a chest lying in that room.

That box was very beautiful in appearance and was also very shiny. Subhash tried to open that box, but there was a huge lock on it. He also tried to break that lock but failed. The lock on that box was not budging. Accepting defeat, he got the box removed from that room and kept it in his room. That night, he became very tired and went to sleep early.

 It must have been around 2 o’clock in the night when the sound of a child crying started coming from Subhash’s room. Due to the fact that Subhash and his wife were sleeping in the same room, both of them stood up. After some time, the crying stopped, but the sound of sobs was still heard.

Suddenly someone’s loud voice came: “Get me out of here; I am alive.” Subhash looked at that box. That voice was coming from there. He approached the trunk with fear. He felt as if there was a small child in that box.

Subhash was not able to understand what he should do. That night, he moved away from that room and slept in another room. As soon as the morning came, he called an exorcist and told him about the box. The exorcist said that the soul of a child is imprisoned in this box.

Who wants to come out? Subhash asked the exorcist what could be done now. So the exorcist said that before taking out the soul of this child from this box, we have to know how this child died. Only then can I do something. At that very moment, Subhash called the dealer in that house and asked about this trunk.

On asking this, the dealer replied that because of this box, no one has ever bought this house. Whoever came to this house would run away in fear of the sound coming from this box. He told me that about 12 years ago, nothing like this used to happen in this house.

 At that time, the owner of this house lived with his wife and two children. Suddenly, something happened: one of their children mysteriously disappeared. He was searched a lot but could not be found, due to which his parents gave up and left the house.

 After listening to what the dealer said, some questions arose in Subhash’s mind. Is the child whose soul is imprisoned in this box the same child who was lost 12 years ago?

And if it is the same child, then how did it die? Till now, this secret remains, and as long as this mystery remains, neither that soul can be freed nor the secret of that mysterious box will be revealed.
