New Self-Driving Update, According to Tesla Drivers

Drivers claim that the most recent iteration of Tesla’s “Full Self-Driving” (FSD) software causes the vehicles to run red lights, frightening away any prospective doubters of these purportedly self-driving vehicles.

A person stated, “Thank goodness, I stopped it before the light ran out after seeing other Tesla owners experience the same issue.” However, one hopes Tesla is conscious of the dangers posed by its current software.”

“Having trust issues because of it not gonna lie.”

The YouTuber who made the video also provided a demonstration of the red light issue that Redditors raised in their thread.

“Don’t do that! The YouTuber attempted to drive through a red light at an intersection while traveling through the downtown area of Newark, New Jersey, and said, “That’s a red light.”

The federal investigation of Tesla’s driver assist software and accidents—of which at least 13 have been fatal—seems to refute the assertions regarding the red light.

Furthermore, Musk and other Tesla officials are accused of misleading the public about the company’s capacity to create self-driving vehicles, a crime that carries serious consequences.

The authorities have also criticized Tesla for not doing more to address the issue.

All of this is taking place while Musk directs Tesla toward robotaxis, which has had problems of its own, including malfunctions, crashes, and unpopularity with pedestrians.

Will the red light problem be resolved by a software patch? Maybe.

However, Musk has a low-cost and non-harmful solution: he should cease referring to the Tesla auto assist software as “full self-driving” until it truly is.
