The multi-song official soundtrack, led by the FIFA sound strategy, brings together artists, fans, and players to share their passion by combining music and the universal language of football.

The fourth line in the multi-song FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 official music highlights the power of women,
Most notably, four famous female singers from the Arab world – Balqis, Nora Fatehi, Manal, and Rahma Riad – are included in the composition of the song.

The song’s atmospheric and catchy music video celebrates the groundbreaking inclusion of female referees in the first-ever FIFA World Cup in the Middle East, with all six officials officiating at the tournament.

‘Light The Sky’ features blistering vocals from Emirati singer Balqis, Moroccan Canadian sensation Nora Fatehi, Iraqi superstar Rahma Riyad and award-winning Moroccan singer-songwriter Manal.

France’s Stéphanie Frapart, Rwanda’s Salima Mukansanga, and Japan’s Yoshimi Yamashita will officiate the matches in Qatar, while Brazil’s Nuja Back, Mexico’s Karen Dez Medina, and USA’s Catherine Nesbitt will be assistant referees, a FIFA statement said.

“Amazingly, this fantastic football tournament is taking place in the Middle East,” said Rahma Riad. “I look forward to the world discovering our beautiful region,” she added.

A fourth single follows global hits Hayya Hayya (Better Together), Arhbo, and The World is Yours to Take, with more releases ahead of the competition on November 20.

“Light the Sky tells us to ‘shout if you’re with me and brings to life the spirit of communal celebration of the FIFA World Cup – an uplifting message as we await the game-changing first tournament,” said FIFA entertainment executive and song producer RedOne.

“This is an inspirational song with roots in the Middle East. The first-ever female FIFA World Cup referee is part of a release that will connect football and music lovers of all ages.”

Comparing the game to music, Bollywood sensation Nora Fatehi said, “Football, like music, is a universal language that has a passionate following — and I’ve seen it with my own eyes everywhere I’ve traveled around the world.
